The first & title track of Stone Atlas's debut album, Everywhere with You.
This song was written, and first preformed acousticly by BAKER on his wedding day while reminiscing on all of the travels he and his wife have been on and that are to come. Then reinvented adding a rock flare when Stone Atlas came together as a three piece band and forever changed the style of this, and many other of BAKER'S original tunes adding fat bass lines and a punk rock drummer. The song Everywhere with You sounds much different than its original version performed for family and friends on that special day, however the band loved the changes so much it has become one of their favorites and the title track for their first album.
lyrics
[Intro]
Orange and crimson silhouette painted across the sky
I’d never seen nothing like it yet, it was music to my eyes
Pale porcelain skin had me howling at the moon
If I didn’t take you then, well you know I’d be a damn fool
But I…
I knew I wanted to go everywhere with you
A sudden rush burned through my veins
Cold morning tracks were true and straight
Something told me to rearrange
Maybe someone’s waiting in a better place
That’s the moment we met face to face
Too sweet the moment, a nervous wreck
We listened to those records to unwind and forget
We talked about the road and the miles that we’ve spent
Dreams shared of leaving and never coming back
I knew I wanted to go everywhere with you
Ripples of the river is where we laid our heads
A stone’s throw from home no matter where we went
Your eyes were fierce as we embraced
Long red swaying hair
Lips locked in sunlight gasping for air
I knew I wanted to go everywhere with you
One-way ticket to a show you felt the city wind
The mood was blue at Buddy’s place, Slim picked as we sipped gin
Green lightning struck into your hands as we began to dance
Your fire screamed through me with bliss
New world and new romance
Hey hey
