See You as the Rain: Ninth and final track on the Everywhere with You debut album from Stone Atlas.
We have all lost someone special in our lives. For artists, often times poetry and lyrics become the best outlet while processing those difficult emotions. This track was written in honor of everyone who has passed, and for those still here needing to find comfort and mourn. Let the lyrics speak for themselves.
lyrics
Hearts enlighten souls, as rain for earth to grow
Speak, breath, teach, a thousand tales untold
Intertwined, twisted, tangled
For all to share the load
A story lost in time
Drifter, big world, no home
[Chorus]
Where did you go when the clouds came
Left outside in a cold, hard, darker rain
Where did you go when they rolled away now
Nowhere to be found, I cry - cryin’ shame
Farewell old friend, hope to see you when the sky’s blue
Crazy times, wild trips, all good memories with you
See you as the rain when it falls upon my head
Your heart enlightened my soul, I said see you as the rain
Snowcapped peaks, billowing over seas
Morning crashes, thunder barks, invading peaceful sleep
Tickets torn, be forewarn
They were scrutinized and scorn
You must pretend they will defend
Better die than to be born
[Chorus]
All for one, reap or sow
Sounds crush giants, succumb to ‘Om’
Connected through war, before they’ve sworn
To love, protect, and not to harm,
Their lies ripple, oh, the waves of thorns
See you as the rain, when it falls upon my head
You heart enlightened my soul, we said see you as the rain
See you as the rain when it falls upon my head
You heart enlightened my soul, said see you as the rain
Your heart enlightened my soul
Said see you as the rain
Your heart enlightened my soul
I said, see you as the raaiiin
